PULP FICTION NAILS!

Hey guys, today I did some nail Art depicting one of almost everybody's favourite film PULP FICTION. I also was using it as a chance to experiment with some of my fab presents from my Birthday on Friday. I did one pretty nail as my good friend bought me some gems and they are soooo cute, the numbers 25:17 from the particularly incredible rant scene my Samuel. L. Jackson, The words pulp written in the classic PULP FICTION lettering, a silver gun and on my thumb Uma Thurman's character with her infamous cigarette my first EVER attempt a nail art portrait. I know they are not perfect but hopefully you think that they are quirky and a fun idea! Thanks for looking!

Life Nails

Hey there, just did a nice and easy design today. At first I thought about doing sound waves but found someone else had got there before me so I decided to go with a life monitor and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I used the word LIFE but in hindsight LIVE might have been a little more meaningful...or something like that. These are super easy - I like the bubbly writing and am thinking of doing some graffiti nails soon! Green and black is a great combo and I will definitely be using it more in the future!

Human Evolution Nails

Hey, I love the idea for this which came to me last night, I searched the net and as far as I can tell this is yet to be done on nails so I'm excited to be the first. The problem with it was for it to work in order with size of the nail I had to do it just on my right hand. I'm right handed so that was more than a little tricky...but still totally worth it to bring a new design to the nail art world. (If you know that this has been done before please just let me know.) I left the other hand plain black but mainly because I was tired haha, you could try writing something fitting on it or anything you like - let your imagination run wild. Hope there are some lefties out there who won't find this as difficult. Hope you like!

Bang Bang Nails!

I think these are my best work so far, I love how individual they are (I have not seen any other nail art like this, and that's quite rare) and I also love the juxtaposition of the girly pink and the morbid story! I was not sure at first if you could tell what was going on - I had such a clear idea in my head and didn't know if the reality matched up so I put it on facebook and got an overwhelming response. If you can not tell however here it goes - gun-bullet-head-blood spatter!
I really hope you like, I am pleased with my improvement and hope it carries on!

Black comedy nails!

Firstly, I would just like to say that I have only been doing this for a very short amount of time and can already see such an improvement in my work. So please don't give up or feel disheartened if things are not going as well as you like...everything takes time and practice!

OK, I LOVED these nails so much, I probably kept them on longer than any of my other nail art pieces, they are super fun and I got such great feedback when I put these on my facebook. You can do what I have done and paint each differently or you can paint them all with one of the designs. Lots of fun. Mostly really easy the corset on the ring finger can be tricky but please view my first post to see how this is done.

Converse nails

Hey, to do these Converse inspired nails you will need 5 different colours (whichever you want) I chose a blue, red, black, sparkly pink and gold. For the white detailing I used acrylic paint and for the black I used a liquid eyeliner. I think the colours stand out a lot more then the black so perhaps leave that out. It was quite tricky to get it neat and I was a little rushed but they really catch the eye and make you smile. I started off as always with a base coat. I then painted all the nails a different colour. after they had dried I drew a curved tip (inwards instead of outwards like a french manicure) and 3 criss - crosses down the centre (do as few or as many as you like) in white acrylic paint. After that was completely dry I finished it off with some small dots where the trainer shoelace holes would be and a curved line through the centre of the white tip - I did these both with black liquid eyeliner. Seal it all off with a few coats of clear nail varnish and enjoy. I was a little rushed and they are not quite as neat as I would of liked but maybe you can do better : ) x

Banksy Nails

I'm a big fan of Banksy's work so thought I would do one of my favourites as a nail art design. I used acrylic paints for these (I got 10 different coloured tubes for £1 from the £1 shop) First I did the all important base coat, I actually did two as acrylics are not made for nails of course. I then painted all of the nails white, after that dried I used a clean liquid eyeliner wand and a black acrylic paint to draw the design- it took me a while to get it looking exactly how I wanted so don't stress if you get it wrong your first, second or even third try. The great thing about working with acrylics is you can paint over any little (or big) mistakes so quickly. I left the middle finger white and then drew the balloon on the ring finger. I stayed up way past my bedtime doing this but got a great response and it was totally worth it!

Alternatively if it suits you more you could make a stencil of the design!

Dominailtrix

Hey there nail lovers!
This is a nail design from last week which I absolutely adored and got a LOT of positive responses. For my kit I used clear, white and deep red varnishes and a black liquid eyeliner. I always use any clear varnish as a base coat to prevent staining and generally make the nails stronger. I then painted the nails white, then did the 2 dark red strips, one on either side. After this had dried I used a liquid black eyeliner to draw the criss-crosses down the centre strip, finish it off with a few coats of clear nail varnish and voila. These were so much fun to do and even more fun to wear.
