Converse nails

Hey, to do these Converse inspired nails you will need 5 different colours (whichever you want) I chose a blue, red, black, sparkly pink and gold. For the white detailing I used acrylic paint and for the black I used a liquid eyeliner. I think the colours stand out a lot more then the black so perhaps leave that out. It was quite tricky to get it neat and I was a little rushed but they really catch the eye and make you smile. I started off as always with a base coat. I then painted all the nails a different colour. after they had dried I drew a curved tip (inwards instead of outwards like a french manicure) and 3 criss - crosses down the centre (do as few or as many as you like) in white acrylic paint. After that was completely dry I finished it off with some small dots where the trainer shoelace holes would be and a curved line through the centre of the white tip - I did these both with black liquid eyeliner. Seal it all off with a few coats of clear nail varnish and enjoy. I was a little rushed and they are not quite as neat as I would of liked but maybe you can do better : ) x

Banksy Nails

I'm a big fan of Banksy's work so thought I would do one of my favourites as a nail art design. I used acrylic paints for these (I got 10 different coloured tubes for £1 from the £1 shop) First I did the all important base coat, I actually did two as acrylics are not made for nails of course. I then painted all of the nails white, after that dried I used a clean liquid eyeliner wand and a black acrylic paint to draw the design- it took me a while to get it looking exactly how I wanted so don't stress if you get it wrong your first, second or even third try. The great thing about working with acrylics is you can paint over any little (or big) mistakes so quickly. I left the middle finger white and then drew the balloon on the ring finger. I stayed up way past my bedtime doing this but got a great response and it was totally worth it!

Alternatively if it suits you more you could make a stencil of the design!

Dominailtrix

Hey there nail lovers!
This is a nail design from last week which I absolutely adored and got a LOT of positive responses. For my kit I used clear, white and deep red varnishes and a black liquid eyeliner. I always use any clear varnish as a base coat to prevent staining and generally make the nails stronger. I then painted the nails white, then did the 2 dark red strips, one on either side. After this had dried I used a liquid black eyeliner to draw the criss-crosses down the centre strip, finish it off with a few coats of clear nail varnish and voila. These were so much fun to do and even more fun to wear.
